Home Renovation Savings Program (Ontario)
Ontario's main home-energy rebate program (launched January 2025, replacing HER+), delivered by Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy. Heat pump rebates up to $7,500 for non-gas homes, up to $12,000 for geothermal, plus insulation, windows and smart thermostat rebates. Currently funded through November 30, 2026.

- Get quotes from participating contractors
- Complete the installation and submit your application with invoices
- Rebates are paid after validation
Stacking with other programs
Oil-heated Ontario homes can stack this with the federal OHPA program — combined support can exceed $17,000. Also compatible with the Greener Homes Loan for financing.

Yes — the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program was replaced by the Home Renovation Savings Program launched January 28, 2025.
How much is the Ontario heat pump rebate for a gas home?
$500 per ton, up to $2,000 — significantly less than the $1,250/ton (up to $7,500) available to homes heated with electricity, oil or propane.
